Mark Sullivan

WOW! Where have you been hiding ?  Those were the exact words I sent to Gifted Singer/Songwriter & Musician Mark Sullivan after listening to his track "Warm Your Bones" and discovering he only lives down the road in Hitchin Herts.  Turns out that far from hiding he has a majorly long impressive list of gigs that are worthy of a feature all of their own, from Dublin Castle, Opening at Wembley Arena, performing at the Houses of Parliament, Ronnie Scotts, Osfest, The Hard Rock Cafe...hey come on, leave some gigs for everybody else ?

I had been patiently waiting since the end of  2018 for something special to come along worthy of a review and tickle my eardrums back to life, and Hallelujah "Warm Your Bones" has been well worth the wait:

His vocal tone had me thinking along the lines of  Joe Cocker & James gray, it just has that chocolate rasp quality that you never tire of listening to, an unmistakable  recording voice that's enough to warm anybodies bones.

After learning to play the guitar, Mark formed his first band Gekko at the age of 15, but their tender age was certainly no barrier to success  as they travelled the country performing at BBC introducing, Rock In The Park  & Bulldog Dash to name just a few. After the band split he became frontman of acoustic duo "The Marksman"  But in 2013  decided to  pursue his dream of a solo career and has been soaring ever since, which  has included performing at the US private ambassadors London residence & even receiving an award from progressive Rock legend Rick Wakeman .
Having recorded three E.Ps It was time  to check out some of his other material, and oh how my ears continued to be stroked  at "Words Fail Me- Feat DPART:

A track worthy of being at the top of the ITUNE charts for sure, and shows that he's not just another acoustic artist, his very much a credible and current artist, who knows how to craft a song.

But Mark's just as comfortable when it comes to putting his stamp on a cover and that shows with  "Human" by Rag n Bone Man:

In 2016  after talking with a couple of top producers he flew to the states  to record some new music for his E.P , working with grammy nominated producer Steve Greenwell (Joss stone, Jonas brothers.. ) and was also lucky to have some top session musicians on board including bass player Jack Daley ( Michael jackson, Beyonce ...) . On his return back to the UK he was invited onto London TV to chat about his music and flourishing career.

A career that has kept Mark busy ever since, and having recently been added to the Roster of  an exciting  live agency called Talentbanq, 2019  looks set to continue propelling him to  even bigger audiences.
Ed Sheeran? James Arthur?  add the name Mark Sullivan to the list.
